Save the date! Scholastic book fair is back!!!
February 5-9 in the Jennie Elliott Learning Commons. Dates and times for shopping to be announced. Children will be given the chance to preview the fair, make a wish list, bring the list home to discuss with family and shop with their class and/or with parents/guardians in one of our after school family shopping events. This is not only a fun event for the children to purchase new books but for every book purchased a portion of the sale goes back to the school as a fundraiser to purchase new books for the classrooms and school resources. This is a busy time for School Council planning and I’m excited to say that everything is coming together nicely! Below are some of the highlights: 2023/2024 Meetings: This is a list of the years planned School Council meetings. Please note that the meetings have moved from Mondays to Tuesdays in an effort to reduce conflicts with long-weekends and vacations. -September 19, 2023 @ 7pm – Annual General Meeting. Finalize events, budgets and vote in a new Executive. -October 17, 2023 @ 7pm -November 21, 2023 @ 7pm -January 16, 2024 @ 7pm -February 20, 2024 @ 7pm -March 19, 2024 @ 7pm -April 16, 2024 @ 7pm -May 21, 2024 @ 7pm Executive: I’m excited that we have had the majority of our existing executive members agree to continue on for another year.
