Here is some important info that will help keep the night running smoothly for everyone:
- Family Dance Night is only accessible through the main school doors along Lindsay Drive SW. The other doors to the school will be locked, and all other levels of the school are off limits for Family Dance Night.
- Water: Remember to bring your pre-filled water bottle from home, as there will be no drinks for sale at the concession stand. (The school water fountains will also be available as usual.)
- Cashless and Cash Concession: Featuring all kinds of sweets and treats and things that glow to help make the dance night memorable! Prices range from $1.00 - $4.00.
- Photo Booth: All guests are invited to grab some props and strike a pose in our free photo booth!
- Candy Guess: A Jennie Elliott Family Dance Night tradition! Fill out a free ballot to guess the number of candies in the jar. The winner will take home the whole jar of goodies! (In the event of a tie, we will have a random draw for the winner.)
- Winter is Back/Still Here: More snow is forecast for Thursday. Please bring dry shoes for you and your family members to wear into the school and gym. The "Wet Boot Drop Zone" will be between the main entry doors, and we will have self-serve coat racks to hang up winter jackets.
- Wristbands: Please have your e-tickets ready for scanning at the door. After your tickets have been scanned, you will receive wristbands and door prize tickets for you and your family. Please keep wristbands on during the event as this is our way of confirming check-in. Families attending both events will receive wristbands at both events. Hang on to your door prize tickets as we will have a number of draws about 10 minutes before the end of the dance!
- Tickets: Thank you so much for prioritizing student attendance! Because we have doubled our event capacity over previous years by hosting two dance night events this year, we have tickets available for both Division 1 and Division 2. Please feel free to purchase additional tickets for spouses/partners or siblings/other family members. Any remaining tickets will be available for sale at the door. All guests must have a ticket for entry.
- New for Division 2 Only: We are piloting an "Adult Break Area" for the Division 2 dance event in recognition of these older students' growing independence. The ABA will consist of four tables and some chairs in the school hallway so that parents/responsible adults may take a brief break from the action in the gym. Please limit your time in the ABA to not more than 10 minutes or so, as the priority of Family Dance Night is family fun in the gym. ☺️
